a ) ( 55 / 20 ) * $36 = $99

b) ( 75.6 / 36 ) * 20 = 42m^2

20 m^2 ---> $36
55 m^2 ---> $x

20/55 = 36/x
4/11 = 36/x
cross-multiply, 4x = 396
x = 99

so the 2nd part in the same way ....
