d = daughter
d + 2d + (2d + 500) = 3600
5d + 500 = 3600
5d = 3100
d = 620
daughter = 620
son = 1240
wife = 1740
d + 2d + (2d + 500) = 3600
5d + 500 = 3600
5d = 3100
d = 620
daughter = 620
son = 1240
wife = 1740

4342 buttons in three bags, A,B and C.
A = --------------
B = -------------- + 18
C= ----------------------+ -----------------+ ------------------
A + (A+18) + (3A + 3*18) = 4342
5A+ 72 = 4342
5A = 4270
A = 854
A = --------------
B = -------------- + 18
C= ----------------------+ -----------------+ ------------------
A + (A+18) + (3A + 3*18) = 4342
