Question

According to the Declaration of Independence, why were the colonists unhappy with the fact that their judges' salaries were paid by the king?

Answers

i found this little quote from the Declaration :
"He has made Judges dependent on his Will alone for the tenure of their offices, and the amount and payment of their salaries."

what can i write from this...
I think it was because the judges would have immense loyalty to the king, meaning that they might reach a verdict in favor of the king, even if the verdict was known to be incorrect.
ok thnks
