You should also know that there are many comma errors in these sentences, too. I hope you can tell which ones those are. I don't know if those errors are a result of your typing or errors in the original you are studying from.

I think 2 is correct.

No, #2 is incorrect as it's typed. Is it typed exactly like what's in your quiz or worksheet or ??

Yes, these are typed correctly. I'm so honestly confused! It is a worksheet.

Whoever typed that worksheet needs a lashing with a wet noodle!! I'll correct them below:
-----------------
1: Laurie, Joaly, and Ted went to the museum, but Greg went to see the play. <~~No semicolon is needed. A comma is needed after "museum" since the whole sentence a plain ol' ordinary compound sentence with a coordinating conjunction "but."
2:Carl has baseball practice Saturday, June 2; Sunday, June 10; and Wednesday, June13.(incorrect*) <~~You were right; it was incorrect. There needs to be a semicolon after "2" in this series. The reasoning is that when items in a series have commas in them, we use semicolons to separate the items.
3:Slice the kiwi, bananas, and melon but leave the cherries alone.(incorrect*) <~~You're right that this is incorrect; a comma is needed after "melon" because (again) the whole sentence a plain ol' ordinary compound sentence with a coordinating conjunction "but."
4:We visited Zion National Park, Utah Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona and Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado.(incorrect*) <~~You're right that the original is incorrect. It's the same situation as in #2. Here's how it should be written: We visited Zion National Park, Utah; Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona; and Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado.
5:Marco Polo traveled by ship and over land;his travels took years.(incorrect*) <~~This is correct as written, but there needs to be a space after the semicolon.
Let me know if you have questions. Be sure to study both the semicolons and the commas webpages.
