[Are both the same? What is the difference between #1 and #3, and between #2 and #4?0

3. He hurries to the school.
4. He goes to the school in a hurry.

Each pair means the same, even though the wording is different.

[Does #1 mean #1-1?]

3. He hurries to the school.
3-1. He goes to the school in a hurry for other purposes such as playing soccer with others or meeting one of his close friends.
[Does #3 mean #3-1?]

1, 1-1, and 3-1 all have slightly different meanings because of the added phrases you've added to 1-1 and 3-1.
