Since the ratio becomes indeterminate (0/0) at x = pi/3, take the ratio of the derivatives of numerator and denominator at x = pi/3.
lim x->(pi/3) (-sin x)/(1)
= -sin (pi/3)
= -(sqrt3)/2 = -0.866..
lim x->(pi/3) (-sin x)/(1)
= -sin (pi/3)
= -(sqrt3)/2 = -0.866..
