i would like to know about the change that would take place if any if the speed frequency wavelength of a wave in a ripple tank when a wave is refracted and diffracted

Wave speeds and frequencies do not change with refraction or reflection. However, speed depends upon wavelength (and water depth), so most water waves are a mixture of difference frequencies that do not move as a single-frequency wave train.
