                Find all real numbers that satisfy (6^x)(7^(2x)) = 86, 436.
Here's what I did:
ln(6^x)(7^(2x)) = ln86,436
ln(6^x) + ln(7^2x) = ln86,436
x = [ln(86,436)] / [(ln(6) + (2)ln(7)]
x = 2
Please correct my answer! Thanks.

    good job, you are right.
why didn't you just test your answer in the original equation
LS = (6^2)(7^4) = 36*2401 = 86436
= RS
