I'm quite curious how we can do that!

<b>Bold face type</b> is made by

< b > < / b > typing those symbols before and after the worlds you want bolded. Leave out the spaces.

Same things goes for italics(replace b with i) and underline(replace b with u). Am I correct?

Yes, you're right. A u is used for underlining.
