Hi i need help explaining how one of the main reasons behind early united states imperialism was spreading democracy.

I can't find anything. Please help.

I can't find anything either. Our main reasons for imperialism had nothing to do with spreading democracy but to get more raw materials and more people to whom to sell our goods. A small group of Christians also believed they were spreading their religion to the pagans.

The U.S. needs the raw materials in the regions we took over.

It needs new markets if we're going to continue to prosper economically.

The region is chaotic and we will bring peace and order.

The natives need to be uplifted to Christianity!
