The second hand travels 1/60 of the circumference of a circle made by its tip in a second.
Circumference of the clock = 2*pi*r
= 2 * pi * 5
= 10*pi cm
Distance traveled in a second = C/60
= (10*pi)/60
= pi/6
= 0.52 cm/sec
= 0.0052m/sec
