Why do you think Asian Americans do not appear interested in political careers? Why do you think there is such a big change when they move here to the United States?

Perhaps Asian-Americans, as first or second generation citizens, are too busy making a living and don't have the money to pursue political careers.
What evidence do you have that this is a big change since their immigration? What evidence do you have that they were involved in politics in their home countries? Is it possible that they moved here to escape a detrimental political climate?

Right. And political careers don't usually mean a better life.
A corollary question might be -- why don't more women want a political career?
