can somebody help me with this math problem? I don't understand what i'm supposed to do, so a few links to tutorials or an explanation would be really helpful!

"sam recorded how many pounds he gained each month for four months and recorded the results as 1/8, 0.75, 2/5, 5/6. list the amount he gained each month in order from least to greatest.

1) 1/8, 0.75, 2/5, 5/6
2) 5/6, 1/8, 0.75, 2/5
3) 1/8, 0.75, 2/5, 5/6
4) 2/5, 5/6, 1/8, 0.75"

just change all fractions to decimals. For example,

5/6 = 0.833
1/8 = 0.125
2/5 = 0.400

Now it's easy to order (2) as you want.
