in 3 - 3/x , x cannot be zero !

did you mean x ≠ 0 ??
3- 3/x = x+7
times x
3x - 3 = x^2 + 7x
x^2 + 4x + 3 = 0
(x+3)(x+1) = 0
x = -3 or x = -1
