I have to write an essay for class. The topic is: Is too much emphasis placed on grades in our system? Explain.

Is this a strong or weak thesis? Our educational system is to mandated when it comes to grades.

Your sentence doesn't make sense. The word "mandated" is not used correctly (and the word before it should be "too" not "to").

Find another word for "mandated" and repost please.
