log 8x^3=4

Can someone walk me through this?

log 8x^3 = 4
8x^3 = 10^4 = 10000
x^3 = 1250
x = 10.77217

No. I divided 10000 by 8
That is, I divided both sides of the equation by 8.

Maybe Nickie meant to type
log base 8 x^3 = 4
then
x^3 = 8^4
x^3 = (2^3)^4 = 2^12
x = 2^4 = 16
