So, this isn't for school or anything- but I want to know if just by this first page if you would read this book. It's got facts about history and helping you plan for the future. Let me know what you think!

Written on the Wall

Life is rarely fair. That’s why people work harder and harder in today- but, if you haven’t noticed, stocks are slipping. Cars and trucks are worth less and less- and it’s not exactly benefiting anyone. As the news on my phone said the other day- “America is slipping into another great depression- and no one is prepared for it”. People tend to get caught up on how much money they have- obviously, I slipped off the tracks. I got so caught up in buying Christmas gifts- I forgot to save some of my money.
Like industries are today. The spend every penny, let it be on materials or employees. They are not prepared. That’s why I’m writing this story. So I don’t have to go through a list of many things- for example,
Bankruptcy
Overspending
Being sued
Not affording company.
You see, people aren’t ready. History is… repeating itself- but aren’t we supposed to learn for our mistakes? Aren’t we supposed to be… prepared? One of these, for example: In 1961, Kennedy urged Americans to build bomb shelters for fear of being bombed.
People listened. What do we do now that Korea is sending missiles at everyone?
Oh, we just sit there watching the news thinking to ourselves: there’s no hope left. Might as well watch the world suffer. Why aren’t we out there trying to save it?...

there's the first page for ya. Thanks.

Writing a great book:
1.) Make an interesting introduction.
2.) Make details and hooks to pull the reader in. (interesting words)
3.) Make a concluding sentence that makes the reader think.

Try to find out if the page has this.
@Anonoumous- Well, putting myself in the audiences shoes, I'd say that 'Life is rarely fair' Would catch my eye- because it's true- and (most) people like to hear the truth. In the second sentence, 'slipping' gives me a little more motivation to keep reading- however- this page DOES lack interesting words all throughout, could use some fixing through that. I'm not exactly on a concluding sentence- I'm planning on part of this story being kinda my autobiography- I'f I'm ever successful, that is.anyone agree?
