750 * 12 = 9000
750 * 4 = 3000
9000 - 3000 = 6000

750 shirts must be sold to break even
Answered by Henry
To break even:
Income = Cost.

12x = 4x + 6000.
X = 750 T-shirts.

The shirts cost $4 but the school will sell them for $12
12 - 4 = 8
8 divided by 6,000 is 750 so therefore the answer is 750 t-shirts
