I don't know what the mythical sign is in the denominator. the (-) is weird. Is it supposed to be(-1) ?
Debbie, I think you need a live tutor in use of grouping symbols. I have said that before, but your problems are really undecipherable.
Is the denominator (2-2/2)? I have no idea what is meant in the numerator.
4 - (-) + 1
____________
2 - 2 ÷ (2)
I have asked for help with this and Ms Sue said is was not able to be solved.
Here is what my instruscot says:
Debbie, it definitely has an answer. Be careful with your signs and remember that in the denominator you will do the division first (Order of Operations).

the denominator is:
2-2 ÷ (-2)
here is the problem again:
4 - (-3) +1
______________
2 -2 ÷ (-2)
thanks for any help
2-2 ÷ (-2)
here is the problem again:
4 - (-3) +1
______________
2 -2 ÷ (-2)
thanks for any help
Then numerator simplifies to 4+3+1 or 8
the operation sign is not showing up on my computer in the denominator, so I don't have a clue.

why wouldn't it be 4 -3 +1 =2?
the denominator is:
2-2 DIVISION SIGN (-2)
the denominator is:
2-2 DIVISION SIGN (-2)
The - sign in front of the (-3) changes the sign of everything inside the parentheses; therefore the -3 becomes +3.In the denominator, you have
2 - (2/-2) = 2-(-1) = 2+1=3.
These boards do not allow spacing; therefore, it is almost impossible to show your problem by drawing a division line. Use the slash (/) for a division sign and group what you want together with parentheses.

By the way, the operator sign showing a division was visible on my computer. I can't do it but it is
