point S is at the top of a hill. From a point X on the ground, the angle of elevation is 22 degrees and 14 mins . From a point Y on the same horizontal line with X and the foot of the mountain, the angle of elevation of S is 12 degrees and 20 mins . what is the height of the mountain if the distance between X and Y is 125ft?

Looking at the diagram, and reviewing the basic trig functions, you can see that if the height is h,
h cot12°20' - h cot22°14' = 125
now just solve for h.
h cot12°20' - h cot22°14' = 125
now just solve for h.
