First, study this to learn about a map scale.

Use a proportion to solve your problem.

(3/10)/(7/8) = x/1

(7/8)x = (3/10)

x = (3/10) / (7/8)

x = (3/10) * (8/7)

x = 24/70 = 12/35 inches = 1 mile
Ms. Sue no one understands the answer your tryna give can't you just say the actual answer.
