Asked by Alice
Which phosphates are found in human urine? I am writing about the discovery of phosphorus. I know that after urine was left to stand for several days and boiled to a paste it contained ammonium sodium hydrogen phosphate. Is this a constituent of fresh urine or did a reaction occur. If so, what is the reaction?

Here is a site that describes using urine to recover MgNH4PO4. It may help some. You may want to do additional searches on Google. I searched on phosphorus in urine.(Broken Link Removed)
