Thank you for using the Jiskha Homework Help Forum. Did you tell your teacher that you did not understand the concept? Then it could be explained in different terms that you could understand. Your teacher is always the best source when you don't understand something.

Depending upon what you were asked to do, here are some links:

1. http://exchanges.state.gov/education/engteaching/gpm.htm (slide down for the story but there is a great review of prepositions here)

2. www.toytowntreasures.com/Prepositional_Phrases_story.pdf (Since this is a pdf file, you will have to download it)

3. www.aacintervention.com/tips/Stories%20in%20New%20York%20Minute.doc (another pdf story)

When all else fails, go to your local library and ask the librarian for help.

I'm not really sure what your assignment is unless you have to write a children's book that uses LOTS of prepositions. If that's right, then take a look at the prepositions on these webpages:

http://www.chompchomp.com/terms/preposition.htm

http://grammar.ccc.commnet.edu/grammar/prepositions.htm

http://owl.english.purdue.edu/handouts/esl/eslprep.html

Now take a look at the assignment your teacher gave you and a look at what you wrote. Can you change some parts? Do you have to start over? Make a decision -- and start writing!

Then you can re-post and someone here can give you feedback.
