Meg is making necklaces out of leather string. Each necklace requires 25 centimeters of string. Meg wants to make a necklace for each member of her family so she needs a total of 7 necklaces.

How many centimeters of string does Meg need?

If the total cost of the string was $4.41 , what was the cost per metre? Explain your reasoning.

7*25 = 8*25-25 = 200-25 = 175 cm

175 cm = 1.75 meter

$4.41 / 1.75 = dollars/meter
