You should multiply the amount by the 4 friends, in order to figure out how much the bill was.
9.25 x 4 = 925 x 4, 4 x 5 = 20 carry the 2, 4 x 2 = 8 + 2 = 10 carry the 1, 4 x 9 = 36 + 1 = 37.00 + 6.00 = $43.00 bill.
just multiply 4 x .25 = 1.00 and just add that to 4 x 9 = 36.00 for 37.00 bill, gabe ya dummy
