We see a movie at a movie theater.
We see a play at a theater such as the Joe's theater.
Can you see a movie at a theater?

Are you asking if all the sentences/questions are correct?
The only corrections I'd make are in the second sentence. I'd say something like this:
We see plays at a theater such as the McCallum Theater of Performing Arts.
----------------------------
I want to know wheather we can see a movie at a theater.

Most of us talk about seeing a movie at a theater.
For instance -- We're going to the Avalon Theater to see Walle.
Many theaters in the U.S. show movies; others present plays. Usually we don't need to make a distinction between the two. However, if we say that we're going to the theater, it's assumed we're going to see a play.
