Question

I am stumped about the order of the steps to follow on the right side of a 2-step math equation that I have for homework tonight:

2(6d+3)=18-3(16-3d)

Do I multiply -3 times 16 and -3 times -3d or do I isolate the minus/negative sign and multiply 3 times 16 and 3 times -3d?

multipy through both parent.

12d+6=18-48+9d is a good way to start. Think out why this is so.
