im writing this essay for an european history class. i've already started it but i just need help adding in deatails on the caliphate. like, why did it decline? and what were the results of this? please help me!!!!!!!!

It's no bother; I looked, but didn't find any site that is easier to understand.

Essentially, Ataturk of Turkey made laws that got rid of the caliphate in 1924.

You'll need to define which caliphate and which time period.

As the Ottoman Empire was dissolved over a long period, but finally by WW I, the caliphate grew weaker. After he took power and secularized Turkey, Ataturk banned the caliphate.

during the rise of islam there were there . im speaking of the original caliphate which began around 600 ad. i know alot about the abbasid caliphate and ummayyad caliphate. i guess i just wil turn in what i have wa that your whole article.
