to find x, solve
5^2 + (x+5)^2 = (x+8)^2
25+x^2+10x+25 = x^2+16x+64
6x+14 = 0
x = -7/3

So, the area is (5)(5-7/3) = 5*8/3 = 13 1/3 m^2
