Good morning,

Quick question I have a question on simple motion.

Ive been given a table of values from which I constructed Velocity v Time graph which is roughly the shape of a trapezium. From this I worked out the total distance covered.

Now I want to make a graph of total distance v the time taken. My maximum values are 600 seconds for time and 14400 meters for distance.

I assume this graph will just be a straight line through the origin? Am I correct?

To add this is a train journey from point A to B and the train does not stop until it reaches point B.

distance is the area under the graph (d=v*t). So compute that by breaking it up into geometric figures you can count.

Straight line for distance vs time? probably not. If v changes, the distance graph curves differently.
