Rebekah needed exactly 6 cups of water for a recipe , but she had only 2 cups that could measure 5 cups and 8 cups of liquid respectively. How could she use these two to get the exact amount she needs

Uh, well, I started out with no contents, then filled the 8-cup container. Then from the 8-cuo, I filled the 5-cup, leaving 3 and 5 cups in the two.
Then empty the 5-cup
pour the 3 cups from the 8-cup into the 5-cup
Refill the 8-cup
pour from it till the 5-cup is full, leaving 6 cups in the big container.
I mean geez, what else is there to do, except fill the cups, and pour the contents back and forth?
