you divided the wrong way

suppose you had:
4 oranges cost $2.00
how much does 1 orange cost ?
Would you not divide $2.00 by 4 ??

so if 24 jars cost $27.60
wouldn't you divide 27.60 by 24 to get the cost of 1 jar?
