Dover's current population is 5,074 residents, which is 14% smaller than at the time of its founding. What was the population of Dover back then?
I'm sorry, there's another question on IXL I need some help on, I'm just wondering if I'm right, am I?
First I subtracted 100% from 14% and it equals 86%, then I multiplied 5,074 to it and it is 4,363.64. Is this right? I have a feeling this is wrong again

But 5,074 is smaller than it was when it was founded. Obviously your answer is wrong.
Go back and look at your previous question and its answer. Try this problem again. Remember that you need an answer that is larger than 5074.
