I Think of a number. If i subtract 8 from it and multiply the difference by 3 the result is 21. What is the number i am thinking of?

I'm sorry. I goofed. The problem states that the difference is multiplied, not divided, by 3.
3 (n - 8) = 21
3n - 24 = 21
3n = 45
n = 15
3 (n - 8) = 21
3n - 24 = 21
3n = 45
