You grabbed a power drill that claims it can reach 2234 rpm in 0.8 s.  How many revolutions  does the drill make in 0.8 s?

average speed is half of top speed (from zero start)

rps = rpm / 60

(ave rps) * 0.8 s = revolutions

acceleration = a = [ (2234-0) res/60s ] /.8s
= 46.54 revs/s^2

revs = (1/2)a t^2
= (1/2)(46.54)(.64) = 14.9 revs
