A bus travels 70km/h for xhours and then at 80km/h for (0.5x+3) hours. If the total distance traveled is 460km, find x to the nearest minute.

Distance = Rate x time

so, ....

70x + 80(.5x + 3) = 460

go for it.

remember, x is in hours, so you have to multiply your value of x by 60, and then round off to the nearest whole minute.
