plot the two points. The slope is the change in y divided by the change in x.
y changes from 2 to -2
x changes from 6 to 4
so, the slope is
(-2-2)/(4-6) = -4/-2 = 2
y changes from 2 to -2
x changes from 6 to 4
so, the slope is
(-2-2)/(4-6) = -4/-2 = 2
