A floor is to be carpeted. The width is 6m and the length 4 1/2m.

a) calculate the area of the floor.

b)If the carpet is sold $20 per meter squared. Calculate the cost of the carpet to cover the entire floor.

a. Area = L*W = 4.5 * 6 = 27m^2.

b. Cost = 27m^2 * $20/m^2 = $540.
