Use the atomic weight of carbon and chlorine to determine the theoretical value of the molecular weight of CH3OH Or methanol.( atomic weights (c=12, cl=35.5).

Where does the Chlorine come in?
CH3OH = 12 + 3*1 + 16 + 1 = 32
CH3OH = 12 + 3*1 + 16 + 1 = 32
