3/7 +1/4

Multiples of 7: 7, 14, 21, 28
Multiples of 4: 4, 8, 12, 16, 20, 24, 28

So the common denominator is 28
28 / 7 = 4
4 * 3 = 12
So -- 3/7 = 12/28

(12/28) + (7/28) = 19/28
