In an isosceles triangle,the shorter side is 20% shorter than the long sides.the perimeter is 15.4cm. how long is the shorter side?

The short side is 4/5 as long as the long sides. So, they are 5/4 as long as the short side.
2 * 5/4 x + x = 15.4
2 * 5/4 x + x = 15.4
