ever heard of math notation?
(sin^4x-cos^4x)/(1-sin^2x)
= (sin^2x+cos^2x)(sin^2x-cos^2x)/cos^2x
= tan^2x-1
(sin^4x-cos^4x)/(1-sin^2x)
= (sin^2x+cos^2x)(sin^2x-cos^2x)/cos^2x
= tan^2x-1
