Given
3x+y=11 call as eq 1
-2x+y=1 call as eq 2
Subtract 1&2 and consider simaltaneously

We get "y" will be cancelled

So, 5x=10
x=10/5
X=2

Substitute x=2 in eq 1
3x+y=11
3(2)+y=11
6+y=11

Y=11-6

Y=5

Therefore x=2 and y=5
