I have given a expository essay to wire about time travel to visit past or future. I decided to go past to experience Revolutionary War. Now I am stuck with 2 strong reasons. Could someone help me on this please. Thank you for your help.

I'd like to know why ordinary people were so fired up about starting a revolutionary new country. What were they thinking? I'd also like to experience the every day hardships, to say nothing of the hardships of war.
