Hard to say what you did wrong, since you didn't show your work.

First, learn to use parentheses:

9/(4x-2) = 12/(3x+2)
9(3x+2) = 12(4x-2)
27x+18 = 48x-24
21x = 42
x = 2

To get 21x=42, you move the constants to one side and the terms with variables to the other.
27x+18=48x-24
+24 +24
-------------------------------
27x+42=48x
-27x -27x
--------------------------
42=21x
