2 x + y = 9 Subtract 2x to both sides

2 x + y - 2 x = 9 - 2 x

y = 9 - 2 x

y = - 2 x + 9

Now put x values in this formula

x = - 3

y = - 2 x + 9 = - 2 * ( - 3 ) + 9 = 6 + 9 = 15

x = - 3 , y = 15

x = 1

y = - 2 x + 9 = - 2 * 1 + 9 = - 2 + 9 = 7

x = 1 , y = 7

x = 4

y = - 2 x + 9 = - 2 * 4 + 9 = - 8 + 9 = 1

x = 4 , y = 1

x = 5

y = - 2 x + 9 = - 2 * 4 + 9 = - 10 + 9 = - 1

x = 5 , y = - 1

x = - 1

y = - 2 x + 9 = - 2 * ( - 1 ) + 9 = 2 + 9 = 11

x = - 1 , y = 11
