That depends...as far as I know there are 3 ships named USS Midway.
The first one (AG-41) is a commercial cargo ship leased by the U.S. Navy during World War II. She was used by the Navy as a cargo ship and as a troop transport in the North Pacific Ocean.
The second one (CVE-63)was a Casablanca class escort aircraft carrier commissioned in 1943, renamed St. Lo one year later, and sunk during the Battle of Leyte Gulf shortly afterward.
The third (CV-41)was an aircraft carrier commissioned in 1945 and decommissioned in 1992. It was the lead ship of its own class.She was donated as a museum ship and resides in San Diego, California
