how can i make 30 ml, 0.227 mol of hydroiodic acid from 50 ml hydroiodic acid of 57 wt% in water?

I assume you want .227M, M as in molarity.
first find the grams of concentrated acid you need.
.227=grams/MOLMASS*.030L
grams= .227*.030*128
gramsNeeded=.872 grams
well, how much of the concentrated do you need to get that?
.872=.57*WeightSolution
and then you can solve for the Weightof the concentrated solution, but to convert to how much volume you need, you need density, which is not give, and I would not assume 1g/ml.
So take a glass vessel, on a precision scale, and weigh out in the glass vessel the WeightSolution of the concentrated acid. Then measure out about 10 ml of water in a beaker, add the weight of acid, and then add distilled water up to the 30ml mark.
