Damon
distributive property of multiplication
price = x
tax = 0.05 x which is 5%/100 of x
1 x + .05 x = (1+.05) x = 1.05 x
price = x
tax = 0.05 x which is 5%/100 of x
1 x + .05 x = (1+.05) x = 1.05 x
