Good evening everyone. I am very confused on how to work on the below problem.
Ingrid walked her dog and washed her car. The time she spent walking her dog was 1/4 the time it took to wash her car. It took Ingrid 14 minutes to walk the dog. How long did it take Ingrid to wash her car?
I am confused on where to even begin with this problem. Please help.

Hello Ms. Sue so then would my answer be: 1/4 x 14/1=3.5 and this is how long it took Ingrid to wash her car 3.5 hours?

I'm sorry, but I didn't read your question very carefully.
Convert 1/4 to its reciprocal = 4/1
14 * 4 = 56 minutes
Convert 1/4 to its reciprocal = 4/1
